Museums embody my core passions and I believe my unique voice will bring significant contributions to the field.
Since I was little I have always loved collecting, researching and cataloging the “artifacts” I found in the vicinity of my Kazakh neighborhood. Growing up as an American child in Kazakhstan, I became aware of the great differences between the two cultures I was raised in and experienced the idiosyncrasies inherent within both countries. As I matured, I grew to realize the distrust between the two parts of the world I belonged to as well. I felt that my unique lived experience could enable me to help make a difference in bringing understanding and bridging cultural divides through my work.
